Duralox 997 Single & Multibore Tube Insulators

Duralox 997 Re-crystallized Alumina can be used up to a temperature of 1800 0C. It is particularly suitable for use as an insulator for rare metal thermocouples, because of its extremely low silica content ; it ensures that there is no contamination of rare metals such as platinum with silicon. Duralox 997 alumina closed one end Ceramic Thermocouple Tubes or Single and Multibore Tubes are sintered vertically at approximately 1750 0C temperature, in oxygen atmosphere in microprocessor controlled bell type kiln. After sintering, 100% thermocouple tubes are tested under air pressure @ 4 bar to ensure gas tightness.

Duralox 997 single and multi bore tubes and insulators are used for insulating thermocouple wires suitable for maximum temp 1800 0C according to DIN 43725 standards. Tube sizes other than as above shown in table can be made on request if found feasible. Dimensional tolerances are maintained to DIN 40680 medium class standards.

Multibore Tube is exceptionally high purity Alumina Ceramic

Duralox 997 Re-crystallized Alumina Ceramic is fine grained, non porous, dense and impervious to all acids except hydrofluoric acid. Duralox 997 is an exceptionally high purity Alumina Ceramic, containing 99.7% Al2O3 and SiO2 less than 0.05% in its residue.

Physical Strength : Duralox 997 Alumina is extremely hard with high mechanical strength and resistant to abrasion & corrosion and good thermal conductor at high temperatures.

Imperviousness : Duralox 997 Alumina products are fired at extremely high temperature around 1750 0C which ensures impermeability under severe & critical conditions.

Good Electrical Resistivity : Duralox 997 Alumina maintains good electrical resistivity at high temperatures.

High heat Conductivity : Duralox 997 Alumina products are considered as high-tech products and are manufactured with advanced technology, therefore maximum density is ensured with minimum wall thickness. This makes the highest possible heat transfer.

Stability at high temperature and chemical Inertness : Duralox 997 is inert even at high temperatures in reducing atmosphere and flux attack due to low silica content in its residue.

Product Range : Duralox 997 Alumina product range includes Ceramic thermocouple tubes with Closed One End (COE), Open Both Ends (OBE), tubes with Single and Multibores tube, Thin-wall tubes, Capillary tubes, Round and Oval rods above Ø 0.5 mm.

Amphoteric : Duralox 997 Alumina is highly resistant to acid slugs.

Advantages

Duralox 997 Re-crystallized Alumina Ceramic offers following advantages over the metals :

  • Continuous high temperature resistance 17500C.

  • Higher thermal stability.

  • Lower thermal expansion.

  • Inert to Hydrogen, Carbon and refractory metals under most severe conditions, non-toxic, non-radioactive, non-magnetic and non-aging.

  • Higher electrical insulation.

  • Higher modulus of elasticity, hence higher rigidity.

  • Greater hardness and wear resistance.

  • Higher abrasion corrosion and oxidation resistance.

  • Higher compressive strength.

Capillary tubes made of high-performance ceramic Multi-bore capillaries for measurement and control processes In spite of its thin wall-thicknesses, the dimensional stability of ceramic capillary tubes remains untouched. Thermocouple components can be electrically insulated guided to the point of measurement via dual or multi-bore capillaries made of Aluminium Oxide Ceramics. Multibore tube capillaries for measurement and control processes. Ceramic thermocouple tubes and Multibore tubes other than above sizes can be manufactured on request. Shunt Reactor: Enhancing Power System Stability and Efficiency

In the realm of electrical power systems, maintaining a stable and efficient grid is of utmost importance. Amidst the various devices that contribute to this goal, the Shunt Reactor stands out as a vital player. In this article, we will delve into the world of Shunt Reactors , exploring their role, functions, and the significant impact they have on power system stability and efficiency.   Understanding Shunt Reactors Ais a type of electrical reacto  Shunt Reactor  r used in high-voltage power systems. Its primary purpose is to regulate voltage levels by absorbing or releasing reactive power. Unlike transformers, Shunt Reactors do not have primary and secondary windings. Instead, they consist of a single winding connected in parallel to the power grid. When the grid experiences an excess of capacitive reactive power, the Shunt Reactor absorbs the surplus, preventing voltage spikes and ensuring smooth operations. Conversely, during periods of inductive reactive power, the reacto
