Some customers believe that once the bidding is done, the paint is no longer covered by the ceramic coating. This is not true, water beading does not rely on paint protection to work. It can appear and go as desired without affecting the underlying security. To make water beads, you don't have to put any protection on your paint.
Ceramic protective coating is not required for water beading. It can appear and go on without affecting the underlying level. Water beading does not require any protection. So, why is that, and how can you tell if a vehicle is safe? Here's how we do it.
The particles of the ceramic coating are so small that when they are placed on the surface they can seal all the pores, making the surface resistant to hydrophobic (water repellent) and chemicals, UV damage, high heat and anti-graffiti. This remarkable ceramic layer is transparent to the naked eye. The nano-ceramic coating establishes a semi-permanent connection to the vehicle's surface, resulting in a "sacrifice" layer that is resistant to washing, cleaning and even rain. This usually lasts a long time. They resist water and soot like any other material, making them very easy to clean. Tightness makes it easy to avoid cracking marks and small scratches when washing.
The hydrophobic action that makes water beads is independent of whether your paint is protected or not. Instead, it is based on a concept known as surface energy. To protect against water, the surface energy of your paint must be less than the surface energy of water. Hydrophobic coatings reduce the surface energy of the paint, causing water to solidify.
However, surface energy can easily change. It increases when your paint gets dirty or if you use a weighting agent-based fast detailer or car wash soap. If you do not have a Ceramic protective coating beading, you may need to clean it or wash it off with an IPA to remove any moisture.
Getting bidding without protection
You've seen products like Bead Maker, which makes water stagnant faster. However, they do not actually give you any protection. You will still have to deal with oxidation and contaminants that stick to the surface.
The most reliable method is to use a paint thickness gauge to measure the thickness of your paint before covering. After the coating dries, take another measurement. Then, record the numbers. When determining whether the coating is still present, measure the thickness of the paint to determine if it has returned to its pre-coated layer.
Paint thickness gauge, however, is not available to everyone. Slickness can act as a warning sign or a kind of protection. Slide your finger over the paint using your fingertips. Do you feel any scratches? It is possible that your cover is worn out. Anti-contamination protection relies heavily on agility.
Suppose you have a long lasting ceramic coating from a reputable manufacturer like Jyoti Ceramic Coating which can only be removed by serious abrasions (consider machine buffing) and applied properly. In that case, your coating will probably last for at least 2 years. For long protection, we recommend adding a top coat every year
