Duralox 997 re-crystallized alumina can be used up to 1800 0C. It is particularly suitable for use as an insulator for rare metal thermocouples, due to its very low silica content; This ensures that there is no contamination of rare metals such as platinum with silicon. Duralox 997 alumina closed one end ceramic thermocouple tubes or single and multi bore tubes are vertically sintered at approximately 1750 0C in a microprocessor controlled bell type oxygen atmosphere. After sintering, 100% thermocouple tubes are tested under 4 bar air pressure to ensure gas tightness.
Duralox 997 single and multi bore tubes and insulators are used to insulate thermocouple wires suitable for a maximum temperature of 1800 0C as per DIN 43725 standards. Tube sizes other than those shown in the table above can be made on request if possible. Dimensional tolerances are maintained according to DIN 40680 medium class standards.
Multibore Tube is exceptionally high purity Alumina Ceramic
Physical Strength : Duralox 997 Alumina is very hard with high mechanical strength and resistance to abrasion and corrosion and a good thermal conductor at high temperatures.
Impermeability : Duralox 997 Alumina products are fired at very high temperatures around 1750 0C which ensures impermeability under severe and severe conditions.
Good Electrical Resistivity : Duralox 997 Alumina maintains good electrical resistivity at high temperatures.
High Heat Conductivity : Duralox 997 Alumina products are considered high-tech products and are manufactured with advanced technology, hence maximum density is ensured with minimum wall thickness. It provides maximum possible heat transfer.
High Temperature Stability and Chemical Inertness : Duralox 997 is inert even at high temperatures due to the low silica content of its residue to reduce atmospheric and flux attack.
Product range : Duralox 997 Alumina product range includes closed one end (COE), open both ends (OBE), tubes with single and multibore tubes, thin-walled tubes, capillary tubes, round and oval rods above Ø 0.5 mm. .
Amphoteric : Duralox 997 Alumina is highly resistant to acid slugs.
Capillary Tubes Made of High-Performance Ceramic Multi-Bore Capillaries Despite their thin wall-thickness for measurement and control processes, the dimensional stability of ceramic capillary tubes remains intact. Thermocouple elements can be electrically insulated to the point of measurement by dual or multi-bore capillaries made of aluminum oxide ceramics. Multibore tube capillary for measurement and control process.
